How About A Doxycycline Acne Treatment?
Have you tried everything to get rid your acne? Odds are you haven’t and that’s why there’s a doxycycline acne treatment. It’s really not all that different from conventional treatments and works very similarly.
Doxycycline is an antibiotic that can be used to ward off acne. It does this by restricting bacteria growth that causes acne.
An important feature in taking doxycycline is to know what not to take. In other words, certain vitamins and minerals affect how doxycycline will work. Calcium, magnesium, antacids, sodium bicarbonate, and iron are a few of the minerals that will absorb doxycycline and remove its chances of curing your acne.
Contraceptive pills and penicillin also don’t combine well with doxycycline, and no one wants to risk nasty side effects do they?

As for the minerals, if you take them at least 2 hours before you take doxycycline, you should be alright.
But,what are some side effects? Like any good treatment there are always side effects that are less than desirable. For instance doxycycline treatments can sometimes result in rash, itching, sunburn, diarrhea, flaking skin, swollen lips, swollen face, swollen tongue, more easily bruised body parts, and less urination.
It’s said that if you develop even the slightest hint of any of these symptom to go straight to your doctor.
Anything less serious usually means you’re having an allergic reaction. Some of those include, a light skin rash, hives, itching, fainting, facial swelling that can make it harder to breathe, asthma, shortness of breath, and of course wheezing.
Even if the allergic reactions are mild you should see your doctor immediately.
And most importantly if you’re pregnant or breast feeding you shouldn’t take doxycycline at all. It’s the same with many other acne treatments: they don’t mix well with pregnancy. They prove to more harmful to baby then not – even if the risks are low. And so it’s better to avoid the risk altogether than to let baby develop something life threatening.
Overall, doxycycline is a treatment a person should consider once they’ve tried other medications first. The side effects are more common than that of say lotions or cream applied to the skin. Plus lotions and creams are usually very effective, especially when used in conjunction with antibiotic pills that are of a mild nature.
If those don’t pan out and you’re still looking for remedies, then doxycycline is your guy. It might be more expensive because of the nature of the drug, but it’d be pretty effective and that’s the goal right?
Some people have tried everything and will resort to anything to clear their acne. The best remedy in my opinion is to keep your skin clean at all times. Lotions and gentle scrubbing prove to be incredibly effective even if you think it’s not doing anything at all.
