Is there such thing as an egg yolk acne cure? I have been asking myself this question for ages now and I’ve just got to know the answer! Haven’t you?
Truth is, there are a lot of cures for acne in the world. Some though, are far more expensive than others. And everyone loves a nice home remedy that can actually help and is cheap to boot. Is there such thing as an egg yolk acne cure?
Yes there is such a thing, but whether it truly works is up for debate. First you get an egg yolk, some milk, and flour and mix it together into a paste. Then, you apply the paste to your face and let dry. The egg yolks contain nutrients that are beneficial to your skin and also dry out the excess oils.
You are then to leave the mask on for an hour. Once off you should give your face a quick wash and you’ll feel pretty refreshed.

No true scientific studies have been done on the subject so it’s hard to say if it works for everyone. There are mixed reviews. Some people report it works great, some people say it doesn’t at all. Some people say it’s cheap and effective others say it’s cheap and still not worth it. The debate goes on.
Personally I think it has to do with skin type. For mild acne I think the egg yolk acne cure would be the same as a mild lotion on the skin. Doing so daily or every other day could greatly improve the quality of your skin.
I think that people with severe acne don’t stand a chance. The egg yolk cure works well only with what’s happening on the surface of the skin. For severe acne, the acne is happening below the skin and manifesting itself on the surface – the mask won’t change anything and simply dry you out, probably making the matter worse.
Myself, I have mild acne every now and again, would I try the egg yolk mask? Absolutely. What do I have to lose but part of my breakfast right?
So, I think we’ve answered the greatest question to ever be asked: is there such thing as an egg yolk acne cure? And the answer is of course, but it might not work for everyone. In fact there are several modifications to the recipe, such as lime juice that claim to make it better.
Do I know if it works for sure? No. Does anyone? No. But there’s a good chance it worked for somebody in the world and that’s why it exists. People don’t always come up with remedies out of the blue, there has to be some kind of factual basis… right?
